Kasia Ziminska

Kasia Ziminska is a violinist and violist based in London, where she studied at the Guildhall School of Music, and Royal College of Music, with Maciej Rakowski, Krzysztof Chorzelski, and Stephanie Gonley. Furthermore, she received guidance from Pavel Vernikov and Svetlana Makarova, and performed in masterclasses with Maxim Vengerov. Recent performances include violin concertos with Silk Street Sinfonia, viola recital at the Barbican, live broadcasts on BBC Radio, and classicalplanet.com.

Kasia is passionate about a variety of musical pursuits, such as chamber music, historical performance, classical improvisation, and contemporary music. She plays with prizewinning groups - Salomé Quartet, and Ensemble Kopernikus, having been coached by the likes of Belcea and Sacconi Quartets; her early music mentors have included Racher Podgers and David Dolan; she works with leading new music ensembles such as Stanford and Harvard resident Distractfold Ensemble, and London PlusMinus Ensemble.
